  • Associate

    Job Description:

    The Associate is primarily responsible for managing the due diligence and full acquisition processes of operating platforms, providing support to the investment team. You will be responsible for providing research and analytical support, assisting in sourcing and selecting investment opportunities, full management of screening and due diligence process, and investment and asset management across North America.


    Responsibilities

    1.  Supporting deal sourcing and structuring for investments and acquisitions of platform level deals across North America.

    2.  Due diligence including market research, financial analysis and asset valuation

    Preparation of proposals for approval by the investment committee approval.

    3.  Negotiation and closing of transactions.

    4.  Assisting set-up of new funds including structuring, review of project pipeline, and investor relations.

    5.  Working with asset management team to monitoring projects throughout the entire investment period including review of Company performance and recommending divestment strategies.

    6.  Relationship building with joint venture partners, consultants and service providers.


    To be successful in this position you should possess:

    1.  Degree qualifications in finance, economics, or real estate.

    2.  1 - 4 years of relevant experience in a top-tier private equity fund or investment bank.

    3.  Advanced financial analysis and modelling skills

  • Executive Assistant

    Job Description

    We are seeking an administrative professional to support a team of investment professionals, including a Managing Partner and a Managing Director. The team will grow from this. The ideal candidate will be professional and articulate, with excellent management skills.


    Primary Responsibilities

    1.  Maintain calendars, schedule appointments and set up meetings.

    2.  Make extensive travel arrangements, both international as well as domestic; prepare itineraries and expense reports; maintain database of travel preferences.

    3.  Answer phones, often of a confidential and/or sensitive nature.

    4.  Maintain proper flow of information with support groups (e.g., corporate services) with full knowledge of relevant interests.

    5.  Qualify potential deal prospects who call and determine how to manage the leads

    Track and maintain database of deal sources and professional support groups (executive search, bankers, etc.).

    6.  Track and maintain database of physical documents related to sector expertise as requested.

    7.  Track and maintain deal information, both electronic and physical.

    8,  Creation and maintenance of information systems to support team: key information, portfolio phone lists, brochure inserts, board meeting charts, etc.

    9.  Coordinate with portfolio companies for supported individuals regarding meetings, information flow, etc.

    10.  Help prepare presentations using PowerPoint.


    Ideal Requirements

    Minimum Bachelor's Degree & strong academic performance - GPA . Ideal candidates will have 6+ months experience, including internships. Should be tech-savvy, enjoy networking, and have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.  A working knowledge of PowerPoint (or an alternative presentation software) is a plus.
